Life is a game of cat and mouse.
The mouse is hungry, but it’s not going to give up its meal without a fight. The cat is hungry, too—but it’s got claws and teeth and a godly stamina for hunting.
So the mouse runs fast and hides in the corner of the room, hoping that the cat will get tired of chasing it and go away. But no—the cat keeps coming, tracking down every inch of the mouse’s hideaway until finally, after many long minutes of clawing at empty air and growling in frustration, it gives up and goes away.
It has won—for now—but this will not last forever. The next time they meet again will be when hunger has become so dire that neither can escape from their own bodies any longer.
